Outfit planning can be hard, even when going to ball games.

If know me, you'll probably find me at a baseball game during the summer and dressing for the occasion. I still like to throw on a jersey even if I am cheering from the comfort of my home.

In the summertime, understand that there is a possibility that the weather might be scorching hot. It's ideal that your outfit is both weather appropriate and comfortable. If you're like me, you will go to games to watch it through, stay all nine innings with friends or family, enjoying ballpark food, and taking photos. If so, it's even more crucial that you are wearing comfortable clothes so you can last the heat that comes during baseball season.

EDITORS NOTE: Hats are ALWAYS a good idea in the summer. I hardly go to a game without one. The first time I went to a game without it I regretted it because a foul ball went my direction and it was near impossible to see it with the sun blaring in my eyes. I am fine - the ball went past a few groups behind me and somebody grabbed it. If you don't own a hat, I stress getting one or at least getting a pair of sunglasses. Not bringing a hat to the game because it "isn't fashionable" or "doesn't look good" is just not worth the possibility of a foul ball to the head.

Outfits for the Fanatic

I am categorizing the "Fanatic" outfit as typically including a team logo on some type of baseball item, such as a team jersey or cap.

Outfit #1

This look is a classic fan outfit. You'll see so many people wearing an outfit like this in the park, but they're wearing it because it really is just the perfect game outfit to cheer for your home team!

Outfit #2

This look is great on those more breezy days. You can throw a light cardigan or button-down. Pair it with a team hat and Voilà - a casual yet simple gameday outfit!

Outfit #3

This look is my favorite. I just love a good old-school sporty jacket look. This is a nice outfit for a game that is later in the day, when it is still sunny but a little chillier at night.

Outfits for the Casual Fan

I am categorizing the "Casual Fan" outfit as having no team logos on clothing items.

Outfit #1

A plain baseball hat is a great option if you do not have a specific team you are rooting for.

Outfit #2

This outfit screams comfort, with low shoes and a breezy dress.

Outfit #3

This style is very simple and you can add jewelry to dress up this outfit!

Now that you have some inspo, plan a day to go to a game and have a hot dog while looking like a 10.
